Rotary Combined Grinding Machine for Disc Brake Pads

2026.08.17

Developed by the Electromechanical Branch of Zhengzhou Baiyun Industry Co., Ltd., the Rotary Combined Grinding Machine for Disc Brake Pads has undergone on‑site verification by customers for more than one year. All performance indicators meet and exceed customer requirements. It is suitable for OE supporting production lines of motorcycle and passenger‑vehicle disc brake pads, featuring reliable positioning, high grinding precision and easy operation.

I. Machining Functions and Parameter Configuration

1. Core Process Functions

Adopting a six‑station rotary structure and equipped with 8 sets of servo control systems, the BY510N combined grinding machine for disc brake pads completes the full process in sequence: workpiece loading & unloading, slotting, rough surface grinding, limit‑dimension machining, chamfering and finish surface grinding.

Rough Grinding Station: Rough surface grinding of workpieces

Finish Grinding Station: Finish surface grinding of workpieces

Limit‑Line Station: Machining of bilateral limit lines for brake pads

Slotting Station: Straight‑slot machining

Chamfering Station: Machining of bilateral parallel straight chamfers for brake pads

Each station is independently fitted with a dust‑collecting hood to capture grinding dust in a timely manner, improve workshop conditions and control dust pollution.

II. Operational Performance and Features

Recipe‑based process management: Machining dimensions are precisely adjusted via servos. Process recipes can be saved and directly recalled for quick production changeover among different brake‑pad models.

Simple loading‑unloading workflow: Manual stacking of pads → automatic feed‑in for grinding → automatic discharge via conveyor belt.

Fully adjustable parameters: All process parameters related to product machining can be set and adjusted independently.

Flexible deployment: Capable of standalone operation or integration into production lines as an automated inline unit.

Integrated processes: Completes composite machining including bilateral limit‑line cutting, slotting, rough surface grinding, finish surface grinding and chamfering for motorcycle disc brake pads in one setup.

Main Functions and Equipment Composition of Outside Grinding Machine for Brake Linings

Drum brakes are widely deployed on medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, trailers, and rear-wheel braking systems of certain passenger vehicles. During braking, the brake shoe expands outwards, pressing the friction material on the outer arc of the brake shoe against the inner cylindrical surface of the brake drum. The braking torque is generated by the friction force formed at the contact interface.
